01 Purpose of the service

weebs is a marketplace that connects people who find clients for websites (“sellers”) with people who design and build those websites (“creators”). The platform handles posting jobs, verifying sites, charging the end client, splitting each payment and withdrawals.

By creating an account or using weebs you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use the service.

02 Accounts and roles

To use the platform you need an account with a valid email. You are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.

During sign-up you choose a role: seller or creator. The role determines what you can do on the platform and can’t be changed freely once chosen.

  • Seller: posts jobs at the price agreed with their client, reviews the proposed sites, approves one and shares the payment links with their client.
  • Creator: builds sites for open jobs, publishes them on their own hosting with the verification script and applies. They can have up to 5 active submissions per job.
  • End client: doesn’t need an account. Pays through the links they receive and requests changes from their requests link or from the widget on the site.

03 Jobs and submissions

The minimum job price is $300.00. The seller guarantees that the job belongs to a real client who has accepted that price and the $50.00 monthly maintenance plan.

Sites are submitted live on the creator’s domain or hosting. When a submission is approved, a project is created, the job’s other submissions are closed and the client gets access to the payment links.

Applying doesn’t guarantee any sale or payment. The creator builds the site at their own risk: the seller may approve another creator’s submission or cancel the job, and the client may not complete the payment. The creator only earns from payments actually collected from the client of a project in which their site was approved; sites that are not approved or not paid give no right to any compensation.

Until the site is paid for, it may show a “preview” notice. The creator retains ownership of the code until the client completes the sale payment; from that moment the client obtains the right to use the delivered site.

04 Client payments

All payments are processed through Stripe in US dollars (USD). The platform doesn’t store card details.

Each project has two items: the sale (one-time payment for the site) and maintenance (a $50.00 monthly subscription). Maintenance includes the creator handling reasonable change requests.

If a maintenance charge fails, the project enters a 10-day grace period. If the payment isn’t settled within that period, the site is suspended and shows a notice until the client catches up. The client can cancel the subscription at any time from their billing portal.

05 Revenue split

Every payment collected from the client is split automatically: the seller gets 30%, the creator between 40% and 50% depending on their tier, and the platform the rest. Percentages are calculated on the gross amount paid by the client.

The creator’s tier depends on the number of approved sites and applies to payments collected after the tier change:

  • Bronze: from the first site · 40% for the creator, 30% for the seller and 30% for the platform.
  • Silver: from 5 approved sites · 45% for the creator, 30% for the seller and 25% for the platform.
  • Gold: from 15 approved sites · 50% for the creator, 30% for the seller and 20% for the platform.

06 Holds, refunds and disputes

Earnings are held for 7 days from collection before moving to the available balance, to cover possible refunds or chargebacks.

If a payment is refunded or the client opens a dispute, the corresponding amount is deducted from the seller’s, creator’s and platform’s balances in the same proportion in which it was split. If your balance doesn’t cover that amount, the difference will be offset against your future earnings.

07 Withdrawals

You can withdraw your available balance from $50.00. Withdrawals can be made to a connected account via Stripe Connect or, on request, via PayPal, bank transfer or USDT to the details you provide. Stripe Connect withdrawals are free; manual withdrawals carry a 3% fee on the requested amount, deducted from the amount sent.

You are responsible for your payout details being correct and for declaring your income under the tax rules that apply to you. We may request identity verification before processing a withdrawal and reject it if we detect fraudulent activity.

08 Integration script

Sites published through the platform must include our integration script. This script verifies ownership of the site, shows the preview, payment-pending or suspension notices, and offers the client a widget to send change requests.

Removing, modifying or blocking the script on a site with an active project is a serious breach of these terms and may result in account suspension and the withholding of the associated earnings.

09 Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Contact or charge the client outside the platform to avoid the revenue split.
  • Post fake jobs or sites that infringe third-party rights or contain malware or illegal content.
  • Copy another creator’s work or submit sites you didn’t build yourself.
  • Attempt to access other users’ data or interfere with the operation of the service.

10 Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You can request to close your account at any time; active projects and pending balances will be settled under these terms.

11 Liability

weebs acts as an intermediary and is not a party to the commercial relationship between seller and client. The seller is responsible for the relationship with their client, and the creator for the quality and legality of the delivered site.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees the platform has received for the affected project in the previous twelve months.

12 Changes to the terms

We may update these terms and the economic conditions. We’ll notify you by email or within the platform with reasonable notice; changes to percentages don’t affect payments already collected.

13 Contact

If you have questions about these terms, reply to any of the emails we send you from the platform and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
